Update
Got a call from the surgeon, and Henna is under anesthesia, almost ready to go.
Today is the day
We spent yesterday at UC Davis. I updated the facebook page, but I can't update the chip in page with the ipad browser. Sorry about that. Henna was tested and examined yesterday and she will have her surgery today. As things happen there, they will call me. For example, we will get a call when she is on the table. The surgery is not very invasive at all. They go up the femoral artery with a plug shaped like a wine glass. That pops into place, blocking the shunt and eventually is covered in tissue becoming a permanent part of her heart.

I am going to miss her while she is at the hospital because I will have no one to chase about the house to get my slippers back..... The Latest
I received a nice response from the vet at UC Davis. We are definitely scheduled for Monday the 26th at 10 AM, and since its a Monday, I can go. My sub is all set and I have confidence that I will not have to cancel her. Also, he told me that barring complications, Henna is also scheduled for surgery on the 27th, not just the tests and exams. We get to go pick her up on the 28th.
Rescheduled, again
Davis called about Henna's appointment. I called back and explained to the receptionist that every time I scheduled for Monday, they called and told me it had to be Wednesday. She scheduled me for Monday anyway. Not Wednesday. Monday the 19th at 1pm.
And now Henna is Home again...
Henna had kennel cough last week and is hardly coughing at all anymore, BUT she coughed ONCE while in Davis and they sent her home!! They would not even do her diagnostic tests. They want me to get her an xray to be sure her lungs are clear, but they would not do that there either. She is rescheduled for the 21st.

Davis called back and they want us on WEDNESDAY. So, another volunteer, not me :( , gets to go take Henna for her exam TOMORROW at 1pm.

We HAD an appointment at UC Davis Small Animal Veterinary Clinic for today, but they cancelled and we are rescheduled for NEXT Monday, the 19th, at 2pm.
